Happy Halloween!!!!

Man o man, what a game last night!! Sarcasm at it's best attempt. The game wouldn't have been so bad if I was a Patriots fan. But as it happens, I'm a Vikings fan. And they played like crap. Oh well, life moves on, and there are plenty more games coming up to be sarcastic about....LOL...

I have been in an unusually good mood for a long time lately! And I love it!! I hated when I was depressed and hating life and the world and everything around me. And I owe it all to our Lord! Without him, no one would have feelings like this, or bad ones too for that matter. But the good moods, and feelings are brought on by being patient, and looking towards God to help you along. He has been working so much in my life lately, and I just have to thank Him everyday!! So, thank you Lord!!

I thought I would change it up today and throw out a Chuck Norris fact:
Chuck Norris doesn't stub his toes. He accidentally destroys chairs, bedframes, and sidewalks.

Have a good day!

Good morning everyone!! I hope you all had a good weekend? Mine was chopped full of excitement and adventure! OK, maybe not. Maybe all I did was go to St.Cloud with Kassy. Maybe all I did was try and fix a lady's computer. Maybe all I did was go play golf with my brother. Well, if that's all I did, then I would call it a pretty good weekend. Nothing really exciting, but I am excited for one thing. I'm not going to say it on here, but for those of you who know me, outside of blogger, you can ask me in person what it is. I'll fill everyone else in when the time is right.

For those of you who like to drink, or sleepwalk, here ya go:
Drinking alcohol before bed can increase the risk of sleepwalking.

Have a wonderful day!!

Another week has come and gone. I hope this post finds your Friday treating you all well! So, I get to leave a little early today!! That is if I can get all my work done. I think it would be almost impossible to get it all done, because it just keeps piling up. There is always something to get done. So, I'm going to do the best that I can, and I'm going to leave early. I get to meet with my friend Kass in St.Cloud!! It should be a good time. We're going out to eat, and probably some shopping. Then we might go for a drink after everything.

For everyone who works out to music, enjoy:
Working out to music is actually better for your brain. Scientists in Ohio, USA, found that those who listened to music while exercising had increased success in verbal fluency tests. In fact, their results were more than double than those who worked out in silence.

Have a great weekend! Oh, and checkout canopenner's blog on Sundays. He's going to start having spiritual posts, and uplifting messages. Or so he told me.

How to Foil a UFO Abduction

1. Control your thoughts.
Do not think of anything violent or upsetting- the extraterrestrial biological entity (EBE) may
have the ability to read your mind.

2. Resist verbally.
Firmly tell the EBE to leave you alone.

3. Resist mentally.
Picture yourself enveloped in a protective shield of white light, or in a safe place. Telepathic
EBEs may get the message.

4. As a last resort, go for the EBE's eyes- you will not know what it's other more
sensitive areas are.

Yeah, like this would work. Have a great day everybody!!

It's another brisk morning here in central MN. I am feeling very very good this morning. I had a nice long chat with my Christian teacher last night. And he wants me to write up my testimony and read it to the college age bible study group. I think it's s good idea, but I'm slightly freaked out when I have to talk in front of a bunch of people. But I'm sure it will be fine. Before I left work yesterday I was feeling very down about myself. There was no cause for those feelings, it was just one of those bad moments. But when I got home, I stopped and really prayed, and poured my heart out to the Lord, and I quickly realized that I do most of my praying when I am upset, and just looking for some help. I figured I should start offering him more praise and worship when I'm feeling good, because I know that the good feelings wouldn't be there without God. So It just makes sense to give him the same amount of attention no matter how I'm feeling. Have a great day everyone!!

Well, for you people who are into harsh dictators, here's one for you:
Joseph Vissarionovich Djugashvili's (AKA Stalin) left arm was slightly shorter than his right. This was due to a bout of smallpox as a child. The deformity became more pronounced as he aged.

Good morning everyone. Nothing too interesting here today. I just don't have a very exciting life. I would like to sit here and tell you all about my African Safari, or scaling mt.Everest. But things like that just haven't happened yet. Don't get me wrong, I would love to go on an African Safari someday!!

Well, I guess I do have something. My friend Lucas called me yesterday, and he was driving through on his way back to the cities. And we met up, went downtown and played a game of pool, and a few games of darts. I'm not very good at pool, but I whooped him at darts. I will say that I can totally feel God's presence in me now more than ever! I was very tempted to do somethings last night that I don't want to be a part of anymore! And I owe all that courage to the Lord above!! Thank you God!!

For those of you who like text messages, this ones for you:
According to the Mobile Data Association, more than 111 million text messages were sent on New Years Day!!

It's the start of a new work week, and I for one am not looking forward to this week. One of our other guys is going to Philadelphia on Wednesday, along with my boss. So we are going to be two people short come Wednesday. Not going to be fun.

This weekend wasn't too bad. I was going to go out with one of my friends on Friday, but he bailed on me, so I went and hung out at Canopenner's house for a little while. Then on Saturday I went to the casino, and I found a $75 ticket in one of the machines. I should have turned it in, but I didn't. So when I left a security guard told me that I had to give the money back, or they were going to charge me with theft! I gave him the money, but I put up a little stink because on every machine there is a sign that says everyone is responsible for their own winnings, and to make sure they have everything before they walk away. oh well, I was still up $45. Then later that evening I went over to Canopenner's house again, and we carved some pumpkins!! I hope he puts pictures of the 80+lbs pumpkin we carved.

Then on Sunday I watched the Vikings whoop ass!! It was a good game, I enjoyed it. I also went for a 1 1/2 hour hike in the woods. That was nice to be able to clear my head, and just loose myself in the woods. So that was my weekend. I hope everyone's was as good if not better than mine.

Here are some interesting facts about the benefits of running:
Scientists have found a marked improvement in hearing sensitivity after running. Running increases the bodies' metabolic rate for up to 8 hours after a person stops. Running strengthens bones.

Have a great day!!

Friday is finally here!! Am I going to sleep in tomorrow!! That is if my cat doesn't wake me up super early again. Which he probably will, foiling all my plans to waste away the morning in bed. But at least I get to go out with some friends this weekend. Looks like tonight might be a go for going downtown, and I'm not sure about tomorrow night, but we'll see and play it by ear.

There's a chili cook off fund raiser thing today here at work. People are brining in chili, and if you want some, you'd have to pay $1 per bowl. That's not too bad, and I think the money goes to some charity, I'm not really sure what one, but it's a charity none the less.

For you banana lovers here's today's interesting fact:
Banana growers in America, worried that the fruit is becoming boring, are to produce them in other flavors such as strawberry and chocolate. The flavoring will be impregnated into the banana flesh.

Chew on that one. Have a good Friday, and a great weekend, I'll be back next week.

Can you believe it's Thursday already? This week is sure going by fast! I went to a bonfire lastnight, with some people from the church. It was pretty fun! I brought the hot dogs, and buns. But it was hard to cook anything over the fire, cause it was soooo hot. The guy, who's house it was at, just kept throwing everything and anything he could that would burn. Including treated wood, old palates, and an old desk. I'm glad I cooked my food when the fire was just cut logs. And some of the people were wondering why the flames were green. Well, you put all that stuff on there, and the chemicals in the wood, made the fire burn hotter, and also made the flames green. But it was a good time, to just sit and listen to some of the music they were playing. And my friend Emily brought her didgeridoo. It's an instrument from Australia. I got pretty good at it. I was one of the only ones who could play it. So yeah, well here's another interesting fact for you:

Only one of the 262 Popes has been English. The most commonly used name is John (23 times). The oldest Pope was Adrian I elected at 80 years of age. The youngest was Benedict IX at 12 years of age. The longest length of Pontificate was Pius IX who reigned for 32 years. The shortest was Stephen II who reigned for 1 day.

Have a great day!!

Wednesday, October 18, 2006

Happy Wednesday everyone!! I guess you could say I woke up on the right side of the bed this morning. Such a relief to have the feeling that God is taking care of me and us.

So yeah, I got some flack from some people yesterday about a boring post. Well, I'm not sure if this ones going to be that much better but, I have a few interesting facts for ya.

In the US the emergency number is 911, in the UK its 999, and in Australia its 000. (there's your three zero's canopenner)

Ten-year-old Daegan Goodman was crowned Smelliest Feet In America earlier this month. The Rotten Sneaker Contest saw Daegen fight off eight other finalists with his smelly trainers. "The stench sometimes stays with me for days" Daegen boasted after winning.

There you go everyone. Maybe some other interesting facts will come along tomorrow. Have a great and blessed day!!

I remember why I took Monday off. I really like to stay up late, but even more than that, I like to sleep in. It's hard to do when you have to be to work by 7:00am. Then the whole staying up late thing makes the mornings that much harder. Oh well, I made my bed, now I have to lay in it. oooooooo beeeedddddd.

Sorry, not too exciting today. Maybe something will happen so I can spruce up my post for tomorrow. Have a good day!!

As far as good weekends go, this one would be right up there with with being diagnosed with prostate cancer or being stabbed in the thigh. hahaha just kidding. This weekend was pretty fun.

I went to a wedding reception on Friday night, and I introduced myself to some people as "uncle Ned's kid" I'll let you all try to figure that one out.

Then Saturday night, we went out and got tore up. It was such a good time. I haven't had that much fun in so long. And it wasn't about the drinking, but just being able to hang out and b/s with my old friends. I did some dancing, and someone grabbed my butt. I suspect it was my friend Travas, but he swears that it was the pretty brunette that was with our group. He's full of crap most of the time.

Sunday was ok, it went pretty much as expected. I went running with Kass, and we talked for a while. It was a pretty good conversation. Then we went out to eat, and then went to some friends' house played some games, and learned a bunch about our Lord, and what we should be doing. So all in all, it wasn't that bad of a weekend. Have a good day, and I will be back tomorrow.

Friday, October 13, 2006

Hey, it's Friday!! And I have the day off!! That's because I'm headed back home to see some friends, and whoop it up. I was kind of hoping to sleep in this morning, but my cat wouldn't have it. He's a jerk like that sometimes hehe. I guess it was a good thing he got me up early, I really need to get some stuff done before I head out. Maybe it was God's way of telling me to get my ars moving. In any case, take care all, and have a great weekend!!

Thursday, October 12, 2006

Good morning. Did we all sleep well? I'm not too happy this morning. I'm not really sure why. I guess I got up on the wrong side of the bed. I've been praying all morning for God to help me with this, but I just can't seem to shake it. I guess all I can do, is take some deep breaths, keep praying, and reading the word. That usually helps. I just don't know why things don't seem to go my way. When is it my turn to be happy? Oh, and I didn't get that job. I'm sure this has something to do with my mood. They called me yesterday, and said they offered it to another applicant. It just wasn't in God's plan, I guess. Well, I'm going to get to work, maybe if I loose myself in work, I can start to forget this crap I'm dealing with. Thanks for listening friends.

Wednesday, October 11, 2006

Well, the interview went well. They are going to get a hold of the applicants today to see who they want to come back for a second interview. I did very good in my interview, but I just don't know if I want this job. Yeah it's more money, but it's only like $.63 more than I make now. Then that means I would have to live with my brother. I don't want to live with him and his family. I could stand my brother and niece, but it's my sister-in-law that I have a problem with. I know that she would let me stay there, but then there will always be this underlying resentment. And I feel like she really doesn't want me there. So we'll cross that road IF they offer me the job.

My friend Ben should be in the state today. I am really looking forward to this weekend. the whole "gang" will be back together. Most of these people I haven't see or talked to in a very long time. So it's going to be very nice to catch up.

I don't care how cold it is outside, but I HAVE to go running after work. I've been so lazy lately. I've only ran like once since last Thursday. I have to kick it in the ass!! Well, I hope everyone has a great day!

Tuesday, October 10, 2006

I finally got to break in my new running shoes yesterday. I really didn't think they would have made any difference. But wow, was I wrong! I had never ran as long with out stopping before in my life. When I finally did stop, it was because I was tired. So, now I just need to work on my stamina. So I can run farther, and ultimately reach my goal for next summer. I'll make it.

Well, it's Tuesday. And for those of you who don't know, I have a job interview this afternoon. I took the afternoon off of work, so I could drive an hour for this interview. I hope it's something better, but when I was reading the job description, it almost seemed like the job was a "step down" in my career. I guess we'll just wait and see what kind of opportunity it really is. Wish me luck, and I will be back tomorrow with an update on the job situation.

Monday, October 09, 2006

Good morning everyone!!

Wow, what an interesting weekend. Some things happened that I really didn't expect. I'm not going to get into it, but it was still interesting. We're just going to wait and see what happens.

Well, the Viking's won. It sure wasn't a pretty game, but at least we came away with a win. I hope everyone had a good weekend. And hopefully I'll have something better to blog about tomorrow.

Friday, October 06, 2006

It's finally Friday!! One more day of drudgery at work. Then I get party like a rockstar this weekend! And next weekend too.

I was feeling kind of down about myself this morning. I asked God to help lift this horrible feeling I was having about "me". Just after asking for help, I checked my email and a"friend" of mine had this to say "There's not too many people as thoughtful, genuine, sweet natured as you are, and have your ability to make a person feel amazing being in your presence. You are rare. Don't ever change that!" Wow, did that ever make me feel good. I had no idea there were some people who feel that way about me. So I say, Thank you Lord for helping me feel better about myself!! And thank you to my friend for leaving me such uplifting words!

Thank you to everyone who truly cares about me, and thank you to the loyal people who come here everyday, and read through my bull crap. Have a great weekend!

Thursday, October 05, 2006

Geeze, am I ever in a mood this morning. As soon as I woke up I was in this "mood". And it's not going anywhere. I guess that's a good thing, because I am in a uber good mood!!! I don't really know why I am in such a good mood. But I hope it continues through the day.

But hey, It's almost the weekend again!! In one week, I will be heading to Fargo for a wedding. The great thing about that, is I get to see my bestest friend in the whole world!! He's flying in from NC next week. I only get to see him about once a year. Oh, and he's bringing his girlfriend, and I'm interested to finally meet her. Well, I'm going to go get some work done, I hope my "mood" sticks with me. If only everyone was feeling the way I am, then everyone would not be in a bad mood. LOL have a nice day!!!

Wednesday, October 04, 2006

Am I ever tired this morning? Or what? I don't know why. I went to bed at a reasonable hour. But I woke up kind of early with the feeling that something isn't right. I didn't know what it was, but something just seemed off. Oh well, I guess it's better to not look too deeply on this one.

I did some more running last night. I've never ran in the rain, but it was ok. I didn't run nearly as far or as long as would have liked, but my Mp3 player's battery died on me so I took it as a sign that I should just go home and take a shower.

I went to the eye doctor again after work yesterday. And they still can't figure out why my eyes don't like contacts. They are going to try one more kind, and if these ones don't work, my only option is to get some taylor fit for my eyes. And if that's the case, then I just won't get em. Because he told me that they are about $200 per lens!! But the ones I have now are the best so far. We'll just wait and see.

Tuesday, October 03, 2006

Ok, so no YMCA membership as of yet. Man, I never realized how expensive it is to go there. I could have done the monthly payment plan, but then I would have to commit to them for six months(and they take the money right out of your checking account) because I don't know if I will still be here is six months. So then I thought about paying for three months up front. But It's like $190!!!! I will probably do that, but then I will have to wait till this weekend for that.

Well, canopenner's out today, he's going to some big interview. I hope he gets the job, because this place has been draining his life for the last ten years. Let's all wish him luck. Have a great day everyone, and I will talk to you tomorrow.

Monday, October 02, 2006

Good morning to you all. I hope everyone's weekend was as good as mine. The Cloud Cult concert was amazing!! They put on such an awesome show.

I've been doing a ton of thinking about myself lately, and I've decided to take some action. I've been trying to run everyday, and it's been helping. Like Saturday, I ran almost 5 miles!! I was so proud of myself, I've never been able to run that long. The only bad thing about running, is that I have to stop so many times. And it's not because I'm tired, but my foot and knee starts to hurt really bad. I think I might need to get some running shoes. Hopefully that will help the pain in my legs when I run. Also, tonight I am going to get a membership at the YMCA. I really need to focus on myself and getting where I want to be physically. I used to just make excuses, of why I couldn't go workout. And now I can't use the one of, not having enough time. That's why I started running, because I have so much time on my hands now, and I was sick of being bored. But I like where I am, and I really like where I am going. Look out world, here comes the new Mood Killer!!!
