I got to talk to canny for an hour last night. It was sure the highlight of my week.

He really got on my case for not updating everyday. I will definitely give it a fair shot. But there are just some days that I either don't have time to update, or even a chance to update.

So, here I am updating about nothing. I'm not interesting enough or have enough to say everyday. I have been known to come up with something good on occasion. So, with more frequent posts, interesting material might be coming sooner rather than later.

But in between interesting post, you have my blank ramblings to get you by.

Have a great day!

I am really sick of snow.

Not sure if any of you know about the wonderful weather we had Friday night, but it was snowing/raining/sleeting with 35-40 mph winds.

I was working just on the other side of the SD border. About an hour and 15 minute drive or 80+ miles. The storm began just before I got onsite. 2:00pm rolls around and it's completely white out. I wasn't done with my work yet so I was trying to hurry up. But one of the servers I was working decided to take a crap on me and not boot backup. The stupid thing had a bad motherboard. The downside to this is that was their domain controller and they now have no network until Monday when the new motherboard comes in.

I leave about 4:00 and I can barely see anything due to the storm. I came to the conclusion that I will not be able to make it back to Fargo as it took me an hour to get 15 miles. I had to stop at Dakota Magic Casino on the border of North Dakota and South Dakota.

I get there and they have no rooms available. So I put my name on the waiting list behind 30 other people. So I wander around this place, play some games, eat some food have some drinks. It really wasn't a bad place to be stranded. But I knew I was going to have to spend the night in my car during this blustery storm.

It was a very cold and uncomfortable night. But I made it. I had to sleep in increments. I would turn on my car and get all toasty warm. Turn it off and try to fall asleep. The two times I did fall asleep I work up to freezing my ass off. So I would wake up and turn my car on again. And I won't go into detail of the trials of having to urinate whilst trying to stay warm.

6:30am came and I awoke to the storm being over. I wanted to get out of there and get home. Stopped at the gas station right there to use the restroom and grab a little something to eat. Got on the road, but soon noticed the on ramp to the interstate was being blocked by two mini-vans in the ditch. Which was making it impossible for the snow plows to get through.

I ended up driving around the perimeter of the casino a number of times and watched as a helpful motorist with a truck attempt to pull out one of the stuck mini-vans. But was unable to do so.

I went back in the casino to try not to spend anymore money. I played a few slots unto about 9:00. I and heard the interstate wouldn't be open till 10:00 at the earliest. I was looking out the doors of the casino and noticed people were getting on the interstate! Here I go, I'm finally going home.

I got on the interstate and soon realized it might have been a bad idea. But I was steady and sort of alert and I made the normally hour trip from the casino back home in just under two hours.

Sorry for the long post but I wanted to share my shitty experience. Sleeping in the car was the worst. Although it was one of the crappiest times of my life I didn't really get mad or angry. I was frustrated and irritated at the situation, but there was nothing I could do to change what was going to take place.

I was awaken by some thunderous lightning and down pouring rain early this a.m.

My eyes were half opened when there was a bright flash of light, and immediately the loudest CRACK rumble rumble that I've ever heard. It was about 1:00am and it shook the whole apartment building.

It was pretty sweet. I love thunderstorms.

So, how is everyone? (Or at least the 3 people who read my blog.)

Things with the house are moving kind of slow. I would just like it all to be over. It's causing me too much stress.

I went home from work yesterday morning. If I hadn't, I would have had to setup my office in the bathroom stall.

Kingy got some monstrosity of a playground for his kids. And he needs help putting it together. He seems pretty excited about it.

It's just another day
working when you want to play

Wishing there was more
Always looking at the door

Waiting for exciting news
at lunch I'll take a snooze

Getting back to work now
Can't figure this out... please show me how.

Hey everyone. I am still alive.

Work was pretty busy last week. I was on a project pretty much the whole time. So no time for blogging.

This weekend I took the girlfriend(Christa) and the daughter(Isabel) to Scheels to look at new bikes. We were mainly going there to see if there was one to replace Isabel's. But I ended up finding one that I liked at a good price. So I got it. Then Christa was looking and she found one that she likes at a good price. So she got it. Then we got Isabel hers.

We had to put Isabel's bike in my backseat, and Christa's wedged into my little trunk. And I had to ride my bike back to Christa's.

Then we spent part of the afternoon trying to teach Isabel how to ride a bike without training wheels. She was struggling, and I think it's because her new bike to too big for her yet. We'll probably have to take the training wheels off her old bike until she gets the hang of it.

Oh, I wish I were an Oscar Meyer wiener,
That is what I'd truly like to be.

And if I were an Oscar Meyer wiener,
Everyone would be in love with me.
