So I wake up this morning all bummed out that it's Thursday. I get to work and start thinking...wait... it's not Thursday, it's Friday!!! Sweet...

I really need to get a full nights sleep. I'm sick of getting a handful of hours in at night. Then I'm just drained all day, and have no motivation. So, I plan on sleeping super late tomorrow. Now that I say that, kingofsiam will probably call me at 7:00am tomorrow. He likes doing that for some reason. Since he can't sleep past then, I shouldn't be allowed to either. Isn't that right kingy?? hehe...

Have a great day everyone.

My Boss: Tony, can you hook up a dual monitor setup for the owner?
Me: I sure can. I just need to find an extra video card.
My Boss: A video card? For what?
Me: So I can hook up the second monitor.
My Boss: Just set it up like mine is.
Me: Yours is setup like that.
My Boss: Not it isn't!! I'm using a VGA cable splitter!!
Me: No, you're not. You have an on board video card, and an AGP video card.
My Boss: Well, that's not how it's supposed to be setup. We should all just use the split cables.
Me: That's not an option, so I'll just set it up the was it's supposed to be done.
My Boss: FINE!! DO WHAT EVER!! (then storms away)

This is a typical conversation with my boss. She's kind of clueless.

It's raining here today, and should be tomorrow, and Friday.

Call me strange, but I like the rain. I heard that running in the rain is really fun, so I'm going to try it tonight.

I'm helping a co-worker move on Friday. I really hope it doesn't rain all day. But her dad and brother will be working pretty much all day on it, so it might all be done when I get there. I'll show up just in time for the pizza and beer. haha...

Have a great day, and don't get too soaked.

Good morning all...

I had a dream last night about a girl. I don't remember what the dream was about, and I have no idea who the girl is. But I do know that she was extremely beautiful. Have you ever had one of those dreams when you wake up you ask yourself "who was that?!?!" Well, that's what it was like this morning.

My boss is gone again today. I find it much easier to get my work done without her here. Probably because she's not forcing me to work on the stupid mundane issues that, in her mind, are the biggest problems in the world.

Oh, did you know??

Good morning good morning,

I hope you all had a good weekend. Mine wasn't too exciting. I went to kingy's house and helped him put up his bball hoop. Then I got back to town here and played some bball with my friend Travas. He swatted for the ball and ended up jamming my middle finger on my dominant hand. Now my hand is all puffy where the finger meets the hand, and I can hardly move the appendage. Oh well, could be worse.

Did you know??

Friday, March 23, 2007

well, good morning everyone. It's Friday again. Time to wind down from the busy week, and a time to look back and reflect on what's happened that week.

Have I grown as a person? What have I learned these last five days? These are just a few questions to ask oneself.

Anyway, I'm not doing a whole lot this weekend. Tomorrow night is my friend's birthday, so there'll probably be drinking involved. Unfortunately, there won't be too many ladies there, if any. So, that's my weekend. I hope something interesting will happen.

Did you know??
In the 1996 version of Webster's dictionary, 315 words were misspelled.

Kingofsiam, I didn't know you were working for the dictionary company back then. You told us you were in the army.

Thursday, March 22, 2007

So, it was a very nice summer day, a little over 10 years ago. We were at my grandparents house for the weekend(I believe). And kingofsiam and I were playing a little bit of hacky sack. We were playing pelt. For those of you who don't know what that is, you hit the hack a few times in a row, and then you get to catch the hack and hurl it at fellow hacky sack player. And if you get hit, you receive a letter, once you have enough letters to spell out "pelt" you have to bend over and take a shot from the hack on the ass. Seeing as it was just us two playing, there were no real alliances or teams so to speak.

Now, I'm not the best hack player around, but I consider myself to be better than average, and I was getting frustrated because my brother would hit me so much and so hard that it wasn't any fun. After getting pelted a few times I told my self, "enough is enough". The next time I had an opportunity to chuck the hack at my brother, I hurled it almost as hard as I could. Me having such horrible aim, the hack found it's way to kingofsiam's nether region. Needless to say, the game was over because he was laying on the ground cursing my name saying I'm a dead man. That's all the convincing I needed to get the hell out of there.

Nothing more really came of it after he felt better, because I cowarded behind some of the older relatives that were there. I didn't do it on purpose, but I still deserved some sort of reprimand for my childish actions. He's for sure gotten me back over the years. And maybe, just maybe my actions that day were caused by years of torment.

That's my kingofsiam story, I hope you all enjoyed it. The details have not been embellished, because there is really no need to. Have a great day!!

Modest Mouse was awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They have definitely solidified themselves as my favorite band!!

Monday, March 19, 2007

The Modest Mouse concert is tonight. I'm so flipping excited!!! It's going to be a really fun time.

This weekend was pretty good, we had the company party on Saturday at this very expensive restaurant, and the food was awesome. Then I went to a jazz concert. That was good until the first song was over. After that, all the songs sounded the same. I don't know why.

I slept funny on Saturday night, and now my neck is killing me.

Hey guess what??

It's Friday again!!

My boss decided to have me move to a different spot in the building. I'm not too keen on the idea, because the spot I'm moving to, is much smaller than what I have now. It's going to suck because all my extra equipment and everything else will be scattered throughout the building. It's not all going to be in the same place. So that kind of sucks, but at least this new spot will give me more privacy. They are moving a few people from down stairs to my current spot. I guess they are doing it so the managers can keep an eye on these people. They are known slackers. They must not know me very well hahaha...

My boss did tell me that when things are done moving around that I will be able to have first pick of new spots.

Have a great and fun weekend. Who's getting drunk tomorrow night???

I think I'm going to start using the term "blog" as a expletive.
For example... instead of using the "F" word, simply replace it with "blog"

Blog you!!!
or
You wanna come back to my place and blog?

Or even replacing the "S" word:

Man, I just stepped in dog blog!!
or
Your breath smells like blog.

You think it will catch on? At least kids would be able to use it at school or church or something without getting into trouble. I think I might be onto something.

Hump day...

Well, I didn't take that job. The guy was even wondering why I would leave what I'm doing now to work there. He didn't even ask me the technical questions because he said that my resume was spectacular, and it spoke for me. Then he asked if I wouldn't mind if he kept my resume on file so that if something that's more suited to what I want comes along, he could contact me. That made me feel kind of good. Then he told me it was a contract job, and there were no benefits, I could purchase benefits, but the company doesn't contribute. I did hear it was a nice place to work. There is a cafeteria, and you can get a burger and fries for $2.00, and if you want a snack or something to drink, it's all free. But, that's not enough incentive for me to go there.

So, I'm just here, trying to keep my head above water. Just watch, next week, I'll be saying things like "I knew I should have taken that job!" and "why did I stay in this hell hole?" Oh well, this place is a better fit for me right now anyway.

Have a great hump day!

Good morning everyone.

I have a big dilemma. Well, not that big, but a dilemma none the less. Last night I had gotten a call from a company who just got bought out my Microsoft. And they are hiring 28 new employees to support Microsoft share point. They called for a small phone interview, and I must have done well because they want a second interview with me this afternoon. The job pays $2.50 more an hour than I make now, and a lot less stress. I'm torn because, the place I'm at now is going to give me some great experience to put on my resume, but being able to put Microsoft on a resume looks really good as well. If I decide to take this other job, I would have to start on Monday. I would hate to leave this place I'm at now like this, but honestly, they won't be in any worse shape than before I got here. What do you think? I need advice...

Well, I survived the weekend.

As you know, I went to Brainerd Friday night. That wasn't too bad, Just went out with some friends, then had to walk about 2 miles home.

Saturday, went to Canopenner's house, and had some of his waffles. They were pretty good. You may or may not know this, but Canopenner is a very good cook. But, then I went and got my hair cut, then went to my old roommate's house and got the rest of my stuff. We sat and played guitar hero for a little bit, then I drove home. My old roommate told me to take his guitar hero games and controller. I told him that I wouldn't be back that way for a while, but he told me to take it anyway. So that was cool of him.

So, then I spent a better part of Sunday playing guitar hero. Sounds like fun huh?

Have a great day!!

Friday again!!

Well, I'm leaving for the big city of Brainerd this evening. And I'm going to have to do it on 4 hours of sleep. What's my deal? Why can't I just make a commitment to go to bed a a decent time? Going to bed at 2:30 and waking up at 7:00 is going to be the end of me. Oh well, bring on the coffee.

I hope you all have a great weekend!!

p.s. I don't drink coffee

I was out paying close attention
Or was I lost inside my thoughts
These days it's hard to tell what's outside from what's in my mind
And oh God, it's beautiful
Insatiable
The way our chemicals collide

I was out catching up to tomorrow
Or was I caught up in the past
These days it's hard to tell what's out in front from what's behind
And oh God, it's unforgettable
Unpredictable
The way our chemicals collide

I was sleeping in the lilies
Or was I up all night
These days it's hard to tell what's half asleep from fully alive

We were loving like a landslide
Or were we in a fight
These days it's hard to tell what's right from wrong and wrong from right

And oh God, it's beautiful
Insatiable
The way our chemicals collide
And oh God, it's unforgettable
Unpredictable
The way our chemicals collide

Well, good morning everyone!

Pretty tired this morning. I went with a friend of mine to this bar, and didn't get home till 1:30. I didn't get drunk or anything, I was just having too good of a time to leave sooner.

I might be heading to Brainerd this weekend. Apparently I still have stuff at my old roommate's house, and i want to party with some people, and this one crazy guy wants me to bring back his projector screen. So, I might think about doing that too.

Have a good day!!

Tuesday, March 06, 2007

So, it looks like I'm going to have to go to Sioux Falls, SD sometime this week. why? The VP of this company wants to install some webcams so she can see what the people down there are doing. She's heard rumors that people are running errands on their hour lunch break, but then sitting in the break room for an hour when they get back. I told her that she should just get a simple surveillance system, but she said it was too expensive. So for the entire afternoon she made me do some digging online to see what the best webcam options are available. Well, I found this software that will allow you to view streaming video from the Internet. Sounds pretty cool, but not now that I am the one who has to do it. She wanted me to get all the information before I left because she was going down there today to do it, but then as I was leaving work last night she told me that she will just be sending me to take care of it. You know, because this is a super high priority.

She wants me to get the network up and running better (the way it should be) but whenever I start to check it out and try to come up with some sort of game plan, she has me do something else, because she thinks it's more important. But on the plus side, I will get a ton of overtime.

Good morning all!!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I know I did.

Friday night I went out with a few people from work, that was pretty fun, we played darts pretty much the whole night. Then Saturday was my niece's 1st birthday party. That was nice to see some family. After the party, I did some snowmobiling. I haven't done that since I crashed my brother's sled two years ago. That was super fun, my brother made some trails in the woods, and I got to open up the throttle on the lake. My brother went for a spin with one of my little cousins, and there was a patch of slush on the lake. Well, he got stuck and my 5 year old cousin said he wasn't having fun anymore. It was a pain to get him out, slush up to your knees and pushing a sled that was spraying water and slush at you when you pushed. Oh well, still a good time. That night I came back to Fargo and went out with some of my friends. Sunday I went to Ghost Rider with my mom and brother. The movie was ok. There was good special effects, but the story and everything else was sub-par.

I am really liking it back here in good ole Fargo, I'm getting to hang out with some cool new people and going out and having a good time. I was sick of sitting on my butt all the time wondering why my life was so boring. I haven't found a new church yet, but there are a few that I think I might try out to see what they're like.

Well, I hope you have a great start to your week.

Holy crap, will this snow ever stop?

It's been snowing for the past week and a half. Yeah, I get it, it's snow. So what. It's nothing amazing. I don't understand those people who go crazy with excitement about snow. What's it good for? Nothing, that's what. I know there are things to do in the snow, like snowmobiling, and sledding, and hockey, but those are all things that people made up to deal with this crap. Oh well, Punksatony Phil said it was going to be an early spring this year, so yeah...

Have a great weekend everyone. Drive safe, and don't get too rowdy.

Off To Work

The trash is running over,
The grass is to my knees.
The shrubs in the front yard
Look more and more like trees.

I've forgotten how to mop,
But once in a while I try to sweep.
The bed never gets made,
But I hardly ever sleep.

The cat is lucky to get fed,
The laundry just grows higher.
There's three weeks or more of mail
Stacked up on the dryer.

I drive the dirtiest car in town
And my oil is probably low.
But it matters not what I have to do,
It's off to work I go!
