I had to work late last night. Myself and a co-worker were moving a company to new location.

Sometime during the commotion, my co-worker had dropped a server rack side panel on my jacket. It wouldn't have been a problem, but my cell phone was in my jacket, and it broke the front screen on it.

I went to Verizon to get it fixed, and they said that I had declined the purchase the insurance when I signed my contract back in October 2007. They said the only way that they could fix it, was for me to pay for all the back insurance. At $6 a month for 19 months I would have had to pay $114+ whatever stupid charges they throw at me.

Or, I could pay $20 and get the early upgrade to a new phone. So, this option I pay the $20, plus the complete cost of a new phone. Costing me more then the insurance.

The third and final option they gave me, is to wait until June 2nd, when I qualify for a new phone, or $100 towards a new phone. So, then I would have to use my broken phone for 4 weeks. I think that might be the way to go.
